. . . . . . . . .

"My name’s Rachel, I’m a soil enthusiast and (admittedly) novice food-grower. A year ago I finished my Environmental Science degree, where I did a year of honours research in soil science and sustainable agriculture. Since then, I’ve been working at a number of small-holder farms along the East Coast. From there my exposure to the world of regenerative agriculture has exploded, with more and more connections popping up of ecologically- minded, community-focussed, food-loving individuals. And it’s a great world to be a part of!
I’m really looking forward to sharing and exchanging more connections with other young farmers/farming enthusiasts through the YFC forum, thanks for having me!"

My core interests in YFC include:
- sharing stories of young farmers and interesting projects starting up (write-up every week/two depending when I'm able to get out to different farms or make connections)
- field day coordination and involvement
- Helping to develop a directory for land access and sharing in SE QLD or nation-wide
- Mentorship and education programs of young farmers, information-sharing from older generation farmers
