Letetia Ware is an owner operator of Tasmanian Gourmet Garlic, a garlic seed production and breeding business in Southern Tasmania.

She has over 20 years experience of growing garlic, from 1,000m2 market garden production up to 3 hectare broadacre production that produced 20 tonne per annum. Special subsidy to the business coaching program specifically for small scale farmers.

• For small scale farm businesses or start-ups that turn over less than $100,000 annually, the program will cost $440 including GST.

• Costs can be slip over a few invoices if it helps.

• Opportunity to access an additional travel expense bursary

Wow what an epic year it has been already !

A massive welcome to the 163 new members that have joined Young Farmers Connect this year and a huge thank you for all your support. We have been deeply engaged across Australia’s local food system delivering a heap of programs, projects, workshops, research, advocacy and networking. Across NSW alone our amazing coordinators have delivered 9 events catering for over 300 participants including 6 field days and 3 Holistic Management training courses.

We are also proud to have recently co-designed and added our signature to a group statement of young farmers organisations from the G20 nations to be presented to ministers and officials at the G20 and UN Food Systems Summit…..Read on >>>>>

Young Farmers Connect is proud to have recently co-designed and added our signature to a group statement of young farmers organisations from the G20 nations to be presented to ministers and officials at the G20 and UN Food Systems Summit. We are calling for recognition and radical change to policies, allocation of funding and consideration for our needs, concerns and to make suggestions to improve the livelihoods of rural communities.

Welcome everyone to 2021 ! Last year was such a massive year for so many people and we really want to acknowledge all of you for keeping local food systems alive and thriving ! What an epic achievement for so so many people to have provided far more than essential services feeding communities but giving people nourishment, connection and security in so many ways.

Young Farmers Connect members training discounts

Young Farmers Connect members are able to access 10% discount on the fees to attend - Inside Outside Management - Holistic Management courses Australia wide.

Having been guided by industry peers, the couple now want to give back and are planning to launch a Bendigo chapter of the group Young Farmers Connect later this year.

Rachel will be championing the coordination of our SEQLD chapter activities and community outreach We are so grateful and excited to have her involvement.
