Young Farmers Connect/Future Farmers SA ~ Autumn gathering

We thought it was high time that new, established, emerging and aspiring farmers got together!

We invite you to join us for a catch-up at Helen and Greg Sampson’s property Jagged Crow Farm (https://jaggedcrowfarm.com.au) at Mt Jagged on Sunday 23rd May.

The event will include a farm wander and talk (small-scale beef, lamb and honey production), afternoon tea and chats, followed by a film screening of inspirational soil documentary "Kiss the Ground” (https://kisstheground.com).

“Kiss the Ground” reveals how through regenerating earth’s soil we can completely and rapidly stabilise our planet’s climate, restore lost ecosystems, and create abundant food supplies - but of course we all know this and many of us are doing just that! This film will help nudge you towards regenerative agriculture if you are thinking about it, and for those more experienced agrarians, this film might be just what you need to re-inspire you to continue!

Approximate schedule for the day:

Sunday 23rd May
1.30 - 2pm arrival and chats
2.00 - 3pm farm talk
3.00 - 3.30pm afternoon tea
3.30 - 5pm film screening

Helen and Greg are kindly letting us use their new workshop venue “The Nest” free of charge. They will have some produce available for sale so please bring some coins!

Bookings essential (due to venue capacity compliance with COVID social distancing restrictions). To book visit https://www.trybooking.com/BQZMW

Farm location and final details will be emailed a few days prior.

If you end up being unable to attend, please advise Sophie at Sophie.corinna.green@gmail.com or 0466 605 155 to allow someone else to use your place.

Hope to see you then!

Warm regards, Sophie (on behalf of the Future Farmers SA/Young Farmers Connect committee)
