Company

We are a Sohip Organics, a Certified Organic mixed vegetable farm located in Lorne NSW 2439 on the Mid North Coast. We grow, harvest, pack and deliver veg boxes throughout the Mid North Coast Region. We are a multi generation family who started growing organic veg in 2019 when we established Sohip Pty Ltd. Our business is growing year on year and we are ready to employ an experienced grower who wants to potentially partner with our growing business.

Role

  • We are offering a full time position with pay above the award and as stated previously also looking at potentially partnering with the right person after successfully completing the probation period.

  • Minimum hours per week will be 40hrs with start and finish times flexible to suit weather and season.

  • On-farm accommodation may be available to rent.

Skills

The preferred candidate will demonstrate previous experience (with references) managing their own or someone else's market garden or organic horticultural farm (with experience in vegetables highly attractive). If you can demonstrate you have achieved this you will understand what's involved and the commitment/type of person needed to do it well, so we will not be providing a list of prerequisites or aptitude requirements.

Should you not have horticultural experience, this does not disqualify you, but you must be able to demonstrate at least 1 year working on a farm where you were tasked with a very physical job requiring stamina and had a high level of responsibility within the farming operation.
