Overview

Have you considered co-farming?Check out this opportunity in Moruya, South Coast NSW. We are stoked to see this on offer and keen to see more similar models set up to support farmers.

The SAGE Project is now offering opportunities to small scale farmers wanting to establish their own businesses. After 4 years as a respected teaching farm, the land is set up and ready to continue being productive to provide for the local community.

Access to affordable, secure land tenure with water security is one of the biggest challenges young and new farmers face in Australia. Then, finding the start up capital to get going and set up efficient systems is another barrier. Our research has also seen that it can also be very isolating if you've found the right plot, but far from community. This opportunity addresses all three of these issues.

Enter SAGE lease opportunities at Stepping Stone Farm - farmers can operate independently, but the difference with this from a regular lease is you will:

  • have access to shared infrastructure and machinery

  • be entering a community with experienced growers nearby

  • have access to an established market at the local farmers market and towns.

If you've got market gardening experience under your belt and are looking for a new location or to dive into building your own farm business for the first time, this one is for you.
