Sustainable Table is on a mission to transform farming, food and fibre systems through regenerative ways of being, doing and knowing. Grounded in care for people and planet, we facilitate connection, collaboration, funding and learning to catalyse change across Australia.
"Sustain is thrilled to see the emergence and expansion of Young Farmers Connect in the past year. Farmers - along with healthy soils, waterways and ecosystems, and a livable climate - are the very bedrock of our food system. In Australia, they have been taken for granted by many of the other players in the food system - distributors, wholesalers, processors, supermarkets, financial institutions, consumers and government at all levels - for far too long.
If we can't nurture a new generation of young farmers by enabling affordable access to land and providing strong social infrastructure of peer-support networks, then we are in very serious trouble. This vital work of weaving connections is exactly what Young Farmers Connect is doing. In the process, they are inspiring the next generation of Australian farmers to emerge, take the plunge to steward these ancient lands and grow the food that will feed this and future generations of Australians.
They deserve every support and we look forward to walking with them in this great journey of transformation."

"Farmer Incubator shares the values and goals of Young farmers Connect and is excited to collaborate to create a network of next generation farmers that care for the land their community and each other"
Farmer Incubator is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2013 and currently based in and around Melbourne, Victoria. Our aim is to help grow future farmers.
As an organisation we are an enterprising collective of people who work in the agricultural sector. We share a mutual concern regarding food quality, sovereignty and security. Through season long programs and one off skills sharing events and workshops we aim to provide a more approachable entry into the world of agriculture by tackling the high-cost and high-risk nature of farming through hands on experience & the establishment networks that supports new farmers using collaborative farming models; a framework already developed extensively in the US and other countries around the world. Our work is focused on providing opportunities for new farmers to start small and work cooperatively. In Farmer Incubator, empowerment is key; we help new farmers gain the knowledge, confidence and resources to act independently; By helping to connect them to the land, each other and mentor farmers.

The New Economy Network Australia (NENA) is a network of individuals and organisations working to transform Australia’s economic system so that achieving ecological health and social justice are the foundational principles and primary objectives of the economic system.
NENA works to facilitate connections, showcase and promote innovative projects, build peer-to-peer learning and use collective strategies to create and advocate for change, so that we can build a strong movement of people demanding, creating and benefiting from a ‘new’ economy.
