Farming Coordinator
Working with the Education & Farming Manager to coordinate development of the commercial market garden
15 hrs/week

Northey Street City Farm (NSCF) is a not-for-profit community organisation for people of all ages and backgrounds to learn about Permaculture through hands-on experience. The role
The Farming Coordinator will work with the NSCF Education and Farming Manager to: coordinate development of the market garden, composting hub, and other farming projects into commercially productive enterprises; and assist with other Farm-based enterprises and activities. The role is a permanent position for 15 hours p/w (working days to be negotiated). Additional paid work hours and are available for some activities.
Responsibilities
• Coordinating development and maintenance of the market garden;
• Training and supervising volunteers in the NSCF farming and composting enterprises.
• Organising the harvest of and selling of produce through a range of customers, liaising with new and existing customers and developing products for sale.
• Coordinating delivery of produce to customers, and the collection of green waste material for the composting hub.
Details
Remuneration: $27.29 per hour, plus entitlements (super, annual leave & leave loading). Plus additional benefits including a training budget, bonus leave, free lunches and more (see more detail on the job ad).
