The Food Farm

Hello! We are on the hunt for a passionate person looking for a part time position in the Yarramalong Valley on the Central Coast (1.5 hours from Sydney). We are also open to considering a full time position for the right candidate.

As first generation farmers ourselves, we understand how hard it is to get a foot in the door, so this might be your first step out of the current role and into your dream of becoming a farmer, or you could be an experienced farmer keen to learn about regenerative farming and paddock to plate enterprises.

We farm and sell grass fed and finished beef (breeding all the cattle here), pasture raised chicken and pasture raised eggs. We sell online and at farmers markets in Gosford and in Sydney.

- Meeting Tim in Wyong Creek to work out a day plan and catch up on what has been happening

- You head off to our lease farm 10 mins down the road to do the meat chicken chores

– feeding, watering and moving their houses

- Move the cows into their next plot of pasture for the day and set up another portable electric fence

- Pickup/drop off chickens to the abattoir and help pack the orders at the butcher

- Collect the eggs and drop them to our awesome cafes

- End of day catch up , which sets the plan for the next day and hearing if you have any ideas or improvements that can be made.

We also have a farm contracting arm of the business, so keen to hear from experienced machine operators keen to be involved with tractor tasks – mulching, seeding, hay baling , manure spreading etc.
