YOU 

People describe you as a “hard worker” and “problem solver” and always “willing to go above and beyond”.  You'll be comfortable to work in a variety of roles and have no trouble switching work modes to achieve the outcomes required.   Given the diverse nature of this role, you’ll be flexible and responsible as well as able to work independently. 

You’ll love lists and tasks and being able to follow directions, yet still find ways to add value (no robots please!), improve efficiencies and create ‘wow’ moments for our customers and the team you are part of.   

Your natural ability to confidently communicate with a wide range of people will be second to none, and ideally you will have previous experience in a retail or hospitality role (think fast paced, action packed fun!).

Your time mastery skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks is essential to this role as you are key to the timely, friendly delivery of our products and services to our customers.  

You are fit, healthy and physically strong.  You love being outdoors, putting your heart (and back) into anything from tending the growing plants to loading boxes, setting up a market stall and chatting with the locals.   

You would be keen to work on weekends at Farmers Markets, providing excellent service and knowledge of organics to our loyal customers.   

You are happy working autonomously in a role as well as comfortable working cooperatively as part of a team.  

Your past employers were sad to lose you due to your high level of motivation, strong work ethic and punctuality.  

THE ROLE  

Given the unrivalled success of the business, we have opened a new Crew Member position.  Working within a close-knit team you will be playing a vital part in the continued growth and smooth running of the business.   

Being a Crew Member on the Good Harvest Organic Farm team means you are mature and flexible enough to work in ANY of the three main segments of the business.  You will be part of a crew in any or all of the below:    

  • On the farm our GROW team prepares beds, plants, harvests and performs post-harvest activities.

  • Our PREPARE team sorts and perfectly prepares and packages the produce for packing into boxes or at markets, ready for our DELIVER team.

  • Our DELIVER team individually packs and delivers box orders to Sunny Coast homes, as well as prepare masses of produce for our famous Farmers Market stall on the weekends at Kawana, Marcoola, Noosa. Our multi-skilled market stall crew members perform all duties to set up, serve the locals and pack down the market stall.

If you love getting your hands dirty, can handle some heavy lifting, are happy with getting up for early starts (as early as 3am on market days), love variety and working with other happy and passionate people, then this role is for you. 

  • Casual: Sunshine Coast based: Must be available Thursday to Sunday. Hours vary due to the casual nature of the role.

Your role may include (hours and rosters vary) but not be limited to: 

  • Full day early start Thursdays working on the farm or in the warehouse prepping veggies

  • Full day Fridays delivering to customers’ homes and restaurants/wholesale clients.

  • Operating a market stall on both/either (weekly roster changes so must be available for both days) Saturday and Sunday including:

  • Early start 3am for set up and pack down (typically finishing as late as 2pm)

  • High level customer service and sales

  • Financial/till management

Essential requirements: 

Weekend availability essential 

Manual driver’s Licence, Open licence – you will be required to drive a small delivery truck 

Fit and able to lift fruit & veg boxes (up to 15kg each) 

Happy to work weekends and weekdays 

Reliable & trustworthy 

Positive, outgoing and charismatic with a strong customer focus  

You’ll need a clean driving history with ability to drive a small delivery truck (manual license). You'll be flexible and able to adapt to various requirements of the role including logistics, customer service and more.  

THE BUSINESS 

Good Harvest Organic Farm is a family owned, community focussed organic farm based at Woombye & Coolum Beach. We grow a wide range of organic produce using innovative farming techniques in harmony with nature. Our business operates on a hybrid Community Supported Agriculture model and our customers have access to our produce through home delivered organic farm boxes, as well as at our weekend markets. Our four pillars of success are: Accuracy, Efficiency, Quality, Communication.
