Permaculture Farmhand - Beaudesert, QLD

Tullamore Farm (near Beaudesert) needs to add a team member to our Organic Permaculture property. This is a paid casual position and has flexibility around the hours worked – minimum 16 hours per week but up to 30 hours are available. Our main working days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday but Saturday (not necessary) will be available.

The position will be the aiding in the ongoing care and management of some of our 500 plus fruits trees and vines. This includes pruning, mulching and composting, harvesting and planting. We have around 130 different varieties.

The successful applicant must have a reasonable knowledge of fruiting trees and permaculture practices. Relevant experience or significant growing on your own home property is a critical must. Although we have tractors and machinery, this is all outdoors and can be quite physical. There is a lot of variety and opportunity with this position.

We are not looking for someone who is just after a paid job looking to have a go. Please don’t apply if this is you. This new team member will have a passion for growing and need knowledge of what we, and others like us, are trying to achieve. Our goal is to see more and more people grow more of their own food and our Farm and our Tours and Workshops are designed to help motivate and teach others who wish to improve their own growing and sustainability.

If you have this type of passion please email Bill at billosull@gmail.com telling us a little about your knowledge and experience. We will then be in contact.
