Jackaroo/Jillaroo learning opportunity with regenerative farming operation in Tasmania

Tas Ag Co is in search of an energetic and hardworking person who wants to join a fast growing, family owned food startup.

The 12 month term will give you hands-on experience working through all four seasons on all aspects of our farm and food production business.

“Sure, we’d love someone with a bit of experience, but we’d take a good attitude and hustle over a lengthy CV any day. So if you have a passion for farming and if you’re keen to join a small team that’s dedicated to regenerative farming and building the bike while we ride it, please apply”

The Tasmanian Agricultural Company (Tas Ag Co) is a premium, consumer-facing regenerative beef brand that challenges the status quo. We’re on a mission to produce climate-positive food through a focus on rebuilding soil health, reintroducing biodiversity, and restoring natural ecosystems.

Behind the brand sits a small team of passionate people who are not conventional thinkers, but are striving to innovate, and ultimately, create a new normal in commercial food production that benefits the environment and the humans it feeds. This all starts with our soils and plants where regenerative practices are at the centre of what we do. Tas Ag Co currently has 1,500 acres under management spread across three productive properties in the Meander Valley.

In 2022, Tas Ag Co took full control of its supply chain after acquiring an abattoir where it now processes and packages its own product for sales around Tasmania. This positions the business as one of the very few beef brands in the country that can offer a true and traceable farm to fork eating experience.
