Position: Full Time Station Hand
Location: 'Hanaminno,' Boorowa, NSW
Position Summary:
5 days per week
Reporting to Overseer and Manager
Competitive Station Hand Award, commensurate with experience.
On-site private accommodation available in a comfortable 2- bedroom cottage.
Meat and some produce supplied when available.

As a Station Hand at Hanaminno, you'll be a key part of our regenerative farming journey. We seek individuals who share our passion for regenerative farming and its crucial role in securing a brighter future for agriculture and the environment
Cattle handling
Experience with all classes of cattle, including cows, calves, bulls, and growing stock.
Mustering, drafting, weighing, and basic husbandry practices.
Ability to apply veterinary and general animal husbandry treatments.
Familiarity with Low-Stress Stock Handling (LSS) principles is viewed favourably but not essential.
Capacity to read animal behaviour and apply pressure/pressure off principles.
Sheep Handling:
Proficiency in handling all classes of sheep.
Stock skills similar to those for cattle.
Fencing:
Repair and maintenance of electric fencing with high-level analysis and troubleshooting ability.
Repair and replacement of netting and ringlock fencing to a high standard.
Machinery:
Basic machinery experience.
Tractor operation, including forklift and front- end loader.
Basic farming experience, including the ability to operate agricultural plant.
Stock water and infrastructure:
Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of stock watering points.
Tasks include trough cleaning and maintenance, pipe repairs, bore repairs, and more.
Additional Skills and Qualifications
Competence in operating ATVs and Motorbikes; class RE license desirable.
MR or HR truck license preferred.
Basic MIG and Arc welding skills.
Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving, planning, and process thinking skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic record-keeping abilities related to stock numbers, paddock moves, etc.
